Objectives of this role

- Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure

- Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers

- Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes

- Testing and examining code written by others and analyzing results

- Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against cybersecurity threats

- Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes

- Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended

- Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions

Responsibilities

- Deploy updates and fixes, and provide Level 2 technical support

- Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve customer experience

- Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems

- Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues

- Develop scripts to automate visualization

- Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance

Required skills and qualifications

- Setting up tools and required infrastructure and network

- Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation

- Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows, CI/CD pipelines for diverse scenarios, including mobile development.

- Have the technical skill to review, verify, and validate the software code developed in the project.

- Experience working on Linux based infrastructure

- Excellent understanding of Python, and Java

- Configuration and managing databases such as MySQL, Mongo

- Experience working

- Experience both in Cloud (Azure, AWS), and on premise

- Proficiency with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes, and monitoring tools like Grafana and Prometheus.

- Problem-solving attitude

- In-depth understanding of security best practices and compliance requirements in a DevOps context.

- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred skills and qualifications

- Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field

- Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company

- 3+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, with a proven track record of delivering high-impact projects.
